Kristen became a pediatric occupational therapist because she is passionate about helping children develop the skills and strategies they need to be successful and independent in their daily lives. She enjoys building rapport with children and their families while working on goals that are motivating, fun, and meaningful for children to learn and grow.

Her favorite part of being an OT is seeing a skill finally “click” for a child. Whether it’s a big milestone or a small breakthrough, those moments help build confidence, increase independence, and move children one step closer to reaching their goals.

Kristen has experience treating sensory processing and regulation, emotional regulation, fine motor and visual motor skills, activities of daily living (ADLs), play and social skills, executive functioning, bilateral coordination, and primitive reflex integration. She loves that pediatric occupational therapy allows children to work on a variety of important skills while learning through play and having fun.

Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Services with minors in Psychology and Family and Child Studies from Northern Illinois and her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Degree from Midwestern University.

Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball, trying new restaurants, working out, spending time with friends and family, and watching movies.
