Why Choose Hummingbird’s Social Groups?
Therapist-Led
All groups are guided by licensed therapists with expertise in social skills development, emotional regulation, and communication.
Small Group Sizes
Each group is designed to ensure individual attention and foster positive interactions among participants.
Tailored to Individual Needs & Goals
Groups are carefully formed based on your child’s unique needs and social goals, allowing for a personalized experience that targets their specific growth areas.
Age & Interest Matching
Children are paired with peers who have similar ages and interests, creating an environment where they can form authentic friendships and engage in meaningful social exchanges.
Fun & Interactive
Through games, activities, and structured discussions, children will practice essential social skills in a safe and engaging way.
What to Expect from Our Social Groups
Every social group includes children who bring different personalities, interests, strengths, communication styles, and support needs. We intentionally create groups that reflect the diversity children encounter in everyday life.
One of the greatest benefits of group therapy is learning to build relationships with peers who think, communicate, and interact differently. With guidance from our therapists, children practice respecting differences, solving problems together, adapting to new situations, and developing meaningful social connections.
Our goal is not to create groups where every child is the same—it is to create a safe, supportive environment where every child can learn from one another while working toward their own individualized social goals.
