My child has been going to Hummingbird in Westmont for the last several months for occupational and vision therapy and I can’t help but sign praises! Our primary therapist, Anna, is so kind, and creative and encouraging. She is also so obviously invested in my child’s progress. Over the summer we had a number of sessions we needed to make up because of travel, and we took the opportunity to book extra sessions to accelerate progress. These sessions were often with another therapist - I think we met with 4 new people - and every single time, Anna had prepped them so that everyone was very aware of goals and progress. I imagine that high level of quality communication outside of the therapy sessions takes time and dedication and we are so appreciative to reap the benefits! Hummingbird is truly a breath of fresh air! From the moment I spoke to the child and family advocate, Gabby, I knew I was in the right place for my son. Everyone I've encountered with so far is extremely kind, passionate and goes above and beyond for their families and children. The process to get my son into Hummingbird was seamless and that made things so much easier for me as a busy parent. My son just recently started at Hummingbird, but I truly have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience thus far. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Hummingbird. Over the years, we’ve been to both the Westmont and Elmhurst locations, and they have been such an important part of my son’s journey. From the very beginning, they have treated us with kindness, compassion, and genuine care. A special thank you to Sandy, who has been an incredible source of support. She has always taken the time to understand my son’s unique needs, advocate for him, and help me communicate those needs every step of the way. Her dedication, patience, and encouragement have meant more to our family than words can express. Every single person at Hummingbird has been welcoming, friendly, and truly invested in helping children succeed. They celebrate every milestone, no matter how big or small, and they make every family feel valued and supported. You can tell this isn’t just a job to them—they genuinely care about the children and families they serve. Finding people you can completely trust with your child is priceless, and that’s exactly what we’ve found at Hummingbird. We are incredibly grateful for everything they have done for our son and our family. Our son who suffered a perinatal stroke and has left sided hemiparesis & delayed gross and fine motor skills did an intensive camp here in June with Alex (PT) and Ana (OT). Both therapists were incredible and I truly attribute my son being able to walk at 16 months to DMI and the interventions done during the 3 week camp. After his sessions Alex and Ana would tell my husband and I what we could work on at home and even film educational videos so we could see how to help him best at our house. Grant (PT), was fantastic with our son and all of the staff were extremely kind and friendly. Highly recommended!  Grant took the time to explain all of the exercises and show us how to do them at home. He was great with our son even when avoidance behaviors started to show up.

We had an amazing experience with our physical therapist, Hannah, who helped correct our sons Torticollis. She was absolutely fantastic every visit. When our pediatrician told us PT is no longer necessary, we deciced to cancel our visits because we were paying out of pocket fees and are very busy parents. We were surprisingly met with a lot of attitude from Stacy. She told us we have to pay a $150 cancellation charge, and even hung up on my husband.

We have had a phenomenal experience with Ms. Brittany Aldarondo!  She is so insightful and thoughtful with her approach for the sessions with my 7 year old daughter.  We have only been going to Hummingbird for a year and it has brought so many coping strategies, ideas for supporting emotional challenges, routines at home, and so much love and support to both my daughter and my husband and I. Ms. Brittany is a wealth of knowledge, she's incredibly flexible and adjusts her plans based on my daughter's zone when she enters OT each day.  The relationship she's formed with my daughter is one filled with support, fun, and so much love!  My daughter truly loves her time with Ms. Brittany every week! The progress my daughter has made in one year is monumental! When I think back to her many emotional challenges and the strain it put on our family as we tried to navigate her needs prior to OT, I am beyond grateful for Hummingbird and all that Ms. Brittany does each week with my daughter!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experiences with Kaitlyn. She did an intense metronome program with our son and he made significant progress. We plan on working with her again once our schedule allows. We highly recommend Hummingbird, but in particular Kaitlyn. She is a highly skilled OT but also has a great personality and a pleasant temperament for kids like ours. We enjoy going to Hummingbird! Both of our therapists are fun to work with and we like the variety of activities and games we get to play each session!
