Ms. Mari, MS., CCC-SLP
Speech & Language Pathologist, Feeding Therapist
Westmont Location
Mari chose to become a speech-language pathologist because of the diversity within the field and the opportunity to work with individuals who each bring unique strengths. She enjoys creating individualized goals and treatment plans tailored to each client, supporting their skill development, and building confidence. The most rewarding part of her work is building strong relationships and seeing that growth carry over into everyday life.
Mari has experience working with children with speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, selective mutism, gestalt language processing (GLP), childhood apraxia, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), articulation and phonological disorders, feeding challenges, oral-motor deficits, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). She also has working proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
Mari earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa.
Outside of work, Mari enjoys taking yoga classes, reading, playing volleyball, cooking, and exploring new coffee shops.
Her favorite quote is, “Today is a good day to try.” – Quasimodo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame
