Ms. Jo, MS., CF-SLP

Speech & Language Pathologist

Jo discovered her passion for speech-language pathology while working with her local special recreation association. It was there that she realized how powerful communication can be in building relationships and supporting independence. She especially loved connecting with children and their families, and knew this was the field for her.

Jo’s favorite part about her work is empowering and supporting families, ensuring that everyone has access to communicate, build connections with others, and advocate for themselves.

Jo earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Illinois State University and her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a Multicultural and Multilingual emphasis, from Elmhurst University.

She continues to grow her expertise through continuing education courses about neurodiverse affirming practices and feeding therapy. Jo is bilingual in Spanish, enabling her to effectively communicate and work with a diverse range of families.

Outside of work, Jo loves to run, try new restaurants, and spend time with her family and dog.
