Andrea is passionate about helping children and families discover their inner strength! She finds great fulfillment in supporting clients as they overcome obstacles and experience joy and confidence in their everyday lives. What she values most about being a pediatric counselor is guiding children toward recognizing their full potential, as it is an incredibly rewarding experience.

Before joining Hummingbird, Andrea worked in community mental health, where she provided individual and group therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and their families. She continues to expand her expertise and knowledge through continuing education in areas such as school anxiety, anger management, and play therapy.

Andrea earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from Northern Illinois University and her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in children and adolescents from Lewis University.

Outside of work, she enjoys running, spending time with friends and family, listening to music, singing karaoke, bowling, and binge-watching television shows. She is also a big dog lover!
