Meet The Team

Ms. Abigail K., MOT, OTR/L
Licensed Occupational Therapist
Elmhurst Location
Abigail knew from an early age that she wanted to work with children with disabilities after watching her two siblings navigate therapy, special education, and the transition into adulthood. Her experiences inspired her to become a pediatric occupational therapist and support children and families in reaching their goals.
Abigail loves the holistic approach of occupational therapy and how it considers the skills children need to participate in the activities that are important to them. She uses a play-based approach to build skills while supporting each child’s individual needs and family goals.
She has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), sensory processing disorder, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Rett syndrome, and other diagnoses. Abigail continues to expand her knowledge through continuing education, including Handwriting Without Tears, The PLAY Project, and courses focused on sensory integration.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Hope College and her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Grand Valley State University.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, running, and gardening.
Her favorite quote is, “The world needs all kinds of minds.” -Temple Grandin
